In good vintage condition, the rush seat has some damage to the edges, especially visible along the front edge - see images. The loose strands of rush have been secured to prevent deterioration, but this may still be best as a display or low - use chair. Some cracks, marks and wear to the frame commensurate with age, but the chair is stable and secure.

A charming antique, Victorian era spindle back wooden chair with a woven rush seat. The warm toned, turned wood frame has aged beautifully.

In good vintage condition, the rush seat has some damage to the edges, especially visible along the front edge - see images.
